13)   None ought to be contended with his or her good alone, but every one ought to 
        regard his prosperity as included in that of others.
14)   Our first and foremost objective is to do good to the world by improving the
        physical, spiritual and social condition of mankind.

Sree Narayana Association of North America Inc (SNA) is a not for profit religious corporation incorporated in New York state. SNA was established on October 28, 1979 at Astoria, New York, USA and incorporated on January 12, 1980 at the office of the county Clark, Queens County in New York City.

The main aims are: Transfer the cultural and philosophical heritage to the next generations, Introduce Shri Narayana devotees to each other, Spread teachings of Shri Narayana Guru, Help socially and economically weak in education, Work in cooperation with other organizations for the betterment of all, Educate members about all religions, Establish a library on Shree Narayana Guru, Establish a Temple and a School, Provide financial help to victims of disasters, Work in cooperation with other similar organizations, Establish an institute to teach Shri Narayana philosophy, All ought to be treated with love; justice and due regard to their merits, None ought to be contended with his or her good alone, but every one ought to regard his prosperity as included in that of others, Our first and foremost objective is to do good to the world by improving the physical, spiritual and social condition of mankind.

SNA functions under the law of the state, federal laws and a constitution approved by the General Body in January of 1994; (Copy can be obtained from the General Secretary).

The ultimate authority is the General Body. However the Board of Trustees does the policy formulating and an Executive Committee and Sub-Committees do Administration of SNA. The Board consists of one Chairman and eight members and the Executive Committee Consists of one President, one Vice President, one General Secretary, one Joint Secretary, one Treasurer, one Assistant Treasurer and five members. One coordinator coordinates sub-committees and sub-committees shall have unspecified number of members. All sub-committees report to the President. The President and the Executive Committee report to the Chairman.

There are three categories of members. Regular, Life and Patron. The dues are $50.00, $500.00 and $5000.00 respectively. The dues paid shall not be refunded for any reason.

The Board on the recommendation of the Executive Committee does approval of member ship. Also a regular General Body should approve the membership. Members can only vote or seek an elected office only after completing two years of membership from the date of approval of their membership by the General Body. The Board's approval of membership allows them to avail all other membership rights. Only one member of a family can hold an elected office simultaneously. The spouse of any member shall have all the rights of a member provided they sign a membership application form. All the Children under eighteen shall have all the rights of a member except voting and holding elected office. However they shall have voting rights and can hold office in the youth forum. Also members’ twenty-five years or bellow shall have voting rights and can hold office in the youth forum.

The Board shall have the right to take disciplinary action against any member for anti SNA activities and illegal actions of any kind. Members may be dismissed from the membership of the organization. The decision of the Board shall be effective until the next regular General Body meeting and the matter must be presented at that meeting and a decision taken.
