WHAT IS SREE NARAYANA ASSOCIATION OF NORTH AMERICA INC ?

Sree Narayana Association is the first manifestation of organized movement of immigrant Sree Narayana community in North America. This organization stands to propagate the philosophy of Narayana Guru.

The philosophy of Narayana Guru is based on Universal Love and Equality. His philosophy approves all religions and it's values and path to seek union with the God. He taught us to appreciate and approve peaceful coexistence and the potential divinity of every individual, to be non-violent, tolerant and respectful to other beliefs. He taught us that the whole universe and every thing in it are the manifestation of the Supreme Reality or The Absolute. So, there should be no discrimination or hate based on anyone's profession, trade, denomination, belief, color of skin, gender, religion or any other beliefs. He reeducated us with the ancient philosophy of Bharat, that the Ultimate Truth is only one and the wise call it by various names. He told us that common man takes different paths to get to the Ultimate Truth, which is the same, notwithstanding the name we use to identify that Ultimate Reality.

He taught us that discrimination of every kind originates from ignorance. Guru Narayana told us that education is the only way to eradicate ignorance. So he advised us to be enlightened by education.

We are here to keep a common platform for all those who believe in and conduct their life in the light of Narayana Guru's ideals and ideas. We are here to propagate His teachings to those who are willing to hear them.

We are celebrating our twenty years in existence. This celebration started with the Gurudavajayanthi celebrations on August 29, 1999 and will end with the Gurudavajayanthi celebrations of year 2000. For further information watch this site, our official publication and press releases from SNA.
